It is the 6th game of IPL 2020 and Kings XI Punjab will face Royal Challengers Bangalore. Due to an umpiring error and an inability to hold their nerves, Kings XI considered themselves unlucky to lose against the Delhi Capitals in their first game. On the other hand Royal Challengers came into this competition with a resounding win against Sunrisers Hyderabad, which will definitely boost their confidence.
The problems for Kings XI are numerous and their top order looks to be in poor form in the final game. They have not won against RCB in the last two seasons which will be a mental hurdle that needs to be overcome. For RCB they will be happy with the performance of their bowlers which is a weak point for the side. It is still the early days of the season and we should keep an exciting game in our hands.
Kings XI Punjab
Lokesh Rahul’s team messed up the final overs of the final game against the Delhi Capitals which ended in a tie. The team eventually lost in the Super Over. Though he was upset with the umpiring mistake, Rahul would expect a better performance from his players in the next game. He would also expect his players to be able to win serious moments of the game.
It is his batting that will have to be set on fire in this game and the side is likely to try the opening pair of Lokesh Rahul and Chris Gayle. They will provide a good start here. Mayank Agarwal looks in good form who will play an innings just like the last match. Karun Nair, Glenn Maxwell and Nicholas Pooran lost in the last game and will need to use a long handle well in the next game. They all bring good firepower to this line-up.
The new ball pair of Mohammed Shami and Sheldon Cottrell performed well in the last game and the captain looked for them to take wickets at the start of the game. Against the strong batting of RCB, Krishnappa Gautam and Ravi Bishnoi will have to do well in the middle overs. Glenn Maxwell will have to make good use of his experience as a third spinner for the side.
Royal Challengers Bangalore
Virat Kohli will be very impressed to win the first game of the season. They came from behind to win by 10 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad which was a great performance from their bowling attack. With this win the team has tarnished their image of a poor start to the tournament and will continue to move against Kings XI with the same pace against which they have not lost a game in the last two seasons.
The side will be happy with the performances of their openers Devdutt Padikkal and Aaron Finch, who had given a good start in the last game and had sought similar shows from them. Kohli missed but there is a very strong middle order for the team along with AB de Villiers and Shivam Dubey. In order for Washington Sundar and Josh Phillip, the team made good punches in their batting.
It was his bowling attack that pulled back the game against the Sunrisers alongside Yuzvendra Chahal and earned the show the best man of the match award. However, the new ball from Umesh Yadav and Dale Steyn would like the team to try better as they leaked runs early in the game. Navdeep Saini did well and teamed up with Sundar and Dubey to add depth to this bowling attack.

Kings XI Punjab will be keen to win this match as they lose here will trick them and push them to the bottom of the points table. To win this game the team will have to improve their batting performance as most of their batsmen were out of form. On the other hand Royal Challengers Bangalore come into this competition with a win under their belt and their batting looks in good form. It is expected to be a close competition but Royal Challengers w
It will be a spectacular season in Dubai on 24 September but the heat and humidity will test the fitness level of the players. The track has slowed down where the odd ball has surprised the batsmen and hence they will need to be cautious here. Batting first requires aiming for a score of around 160 runs to feel comfortable on this surface.
Dubai International Cricket Stadium is a big venue which balances batsmen and bowlers well. Batsmen can play their strokes and quickly increase the outfield scoring rate. Fast bowlers who use variations have done well, but bowling is a tough situation for them. The spinners have a good record at this location as the ball takes a sharp turn here.
The wicket has been slow in the two matches played so far and we have seen a low scoring game. It is not easy to hit the ball and this makes it difficult for the team to score. Therefore, the captain winning the toss needs to choose to bowl first and keep the opposition on a small total score.
